Lovely, quiet, and peaceful. Piero and Ramona's beautiful guest house at Cantina Lapone is the perfect place to stay in the Umbria/Tuscany area. The house is fantastically appointed and Piero and Ramona are very friendly hosts. We were met in person, shown the house and introduced to the property. I very much enjoyed peaceful walks about the property in the foggy mornings enjoying the sounds and views. Orvieto is minutes away with its fantastic sights and great food. Other beautiful cities such as Montepulciano, Assisi, Perugia and so many others are an easy view-packed drive away. Coming back home to Cantina Lapone is a great way to relax after a busy day seeing the sights. We hope to stay at Piero and Ramona's wonderful property again soon.

Lovely home in a picturesque setting. We used this as a base to spend a few days seeing the Tuscany towns. Pierro was very hospitable and gave us a quick winery tour. Two very cute dogs on the premises added bonus. Comfortable and private house, great grocery store nearby.

Piero’s place is beautiful! A great respite for a few days from the ancient cities. Loved it!

Loved our stay at Cantina Lapone. Pietro was incredibly helpful and kind. The place was peaceful. Recommended to anyone who wants to disappear and disconnect. Great wine too!

Could not have picked a better location for our Italy wine touring base. It was very close to Orvieto for food, etc. And very easy to get to all the cute little wine towns around Tuscany. The house is lovely and the view cannot be beat. Took a relaxing pool day with the rolling vineyard hills in the background = perfect. The hosts were great and very responsive to all our questions. Easy parking right out front. Would stay again in a heartbeat -- if you're considering Italy wine country book this place NOW.
