We enjoyed our stay here due to the peaceful surroundings, proximity to the beach, bars and restaurants. The apartment has everything you would need even for a longer stay. Our host, Maya, was very helpful and even though we mistook our checkout date for the next day, we were not rushed in any way to check out. Thank you!
locatie superba, aproape de plaja si de restaurante.incinta ok in privinta parcarii, recomand cu drag.
The apparent offer great value for the money that we spent. Location is perfect, only 5mins walking by the main restaurant/ beach area of Kavarna. There are two balconies, enough space for two couples or even more. The only one minuses according to me are that the mattress in the second bedroom seems amortized, and felt some springs during sleeping and based on my trip experience, found the dining space not so clean as should be. However, nothing that can stop exploring Kavarna and Black Sea. In general it’s recommended place, if you prefer skipping any hotel accommodation. P.S. We were surprised that Kavarna Hills have nice underground garage, which we used as part of our reservation without any extra costs.

The coastal expanse of Kavarna bears witness to a rich tapestry of antiquity, with the roots of its vibrant existence tracing back to the 3rd millennium BC. Throughout antiquity and the Middle Ages, Kavarna flourished as both an economic and cultural hub. This historical significance is palpable through the well-preserved remnants of fortress walls, early Christian basilicas, churches, ancient buildings, coins, ornaments, and a Thracian treasure adorned with gold applications.
Enthusiasts of history and archaeology can delve into this fascinating past at the Maritime Museum, open every weekday. Situated to the right of the main road from the Complex to the center of Kavarna, the museum proudly showcases the city's historical legacy, allowing visitors to connect with the profound heritage that has shaped Kavarna over millennia.

Just a short 20 km journey from the town leads to the charming resort of "Rusalka," known for its breathtaking rocky coastline. Further along this coastal stretch lies Cape Kaliakra, marking the easternmost point of the Bulgarian Black Sea.
Cape Kaliakra not only captivates with its natural beauty but also offers a historical gem within one of its caves—a museum that delves into the rich history and evolution of Kaliakra Fortress throughout the years. This cape is designated as both a natural and archaeological reserve, harboring numerous protected species within its territory. Remnants of a fortress wall and a bath stand as silent witnesses to the historical tapestry woven into the landscape of Kaliakra, providing visitors with a glimpse into the past. The blend of stunning natural landscapes and historical significance makes Cape Kaliakra a truly remarkable destination within the Kavarna region.
The nearby village of Kamen Bryag has gained popularity among tourists as a locale where the arrival of July is celebrated with a unique tradition known as July morning. In 2007, the evocative vocals of Uriah Heep John Lawton resonated along the beach as he sang the eponymous song of the Sunrise band, enhancing the mystical ambiance of this annual event.
July Morning, rooted in the Hippie movement, emerged during the era of socialism as a symbolic protest against the prevailing regime. It has since evolved into a celebration of the free spirit, accompanied by the liberating sounds of rock music. This distinctive custom, observed in Kamen Bryag, reflects a spirit of rebellion and a deep connection to the countercultural movements of the past, making it a noteworthy experience for those drawn to the intersection of history, culture, and the enduring power of music.
Situated just 2 km from the village of Kamen Bryag, the national archaeological reserve "Yailata" is a treasure trove of historical significance. Covering an expansive 300 acres, the reserve has yielded numerous archaeological discoveries, including three necropolises carved into rocks and 101 cave dwellings dating back to the 5th millennium BC. Nestled between two sea terraces, Yailata is believed to have featured a bay used as a harbor, evident from the discovery of numerous anchors along the seabed.
The fortress in the Yailata area, constructed at the end of the 5th to the beginning of the 6th century AD, was later dismantled. By the 9th century, a Bulgarian settlement had emerged around it. Recognizing its importance, Yailata is included in the Register of Protected Areas and Protected Areas of Bulgaria, safeguarding its archaeological and historical wealth.
Heading north from Kaliakra, two wetlands—Bolata and Taukliman (Bird's Bay)—beckon nature enthusiasts. These areas serve as nesting grounds for a variety of waterfowl, and some of the resident animal species are classified in the Red Data Book of Bulgaria, signifying their endangered status. Ornithologists often find these destinations particularly appealing.
The proximity of Kavarna to the villages of Bulgarevo, Shabla, and Tyulenovo further enriches the region's allure. Beyond beautiful beaches and historical sites, Kavarna and its surroundings host traditional events such as "Miden and Fish Fest," "Week of the Sea," "Kavarna Rock Fest," and more, ensuring a diverse range of experiences for tourists and locals alike.
