You've got a powerhouse team of 12 people working for you to ensure that your stay is incredible! I am an entrepreneur at heart, running a successful real estate investment business. What we do in my company is wonderful, we turn perpetual renters into homeowners by selling them houses on owner finance! Almost all of our clients have been turned down or would be turned down by the banks. I love it, and most of our buyers are very grateful to finally be living the American dream of owning a home! I am an admitted workaholic, but when I'm not working, I like to play tennis, go to the beach, eat at nice restaurants, travel or go out and have a few drinks with friends. My wife, Chely, who is part of the team, is originally from Mexico, so we “habla espanol!” She is the driving force behind making sure that our listings have style and flair, and thank God for that because that is not my forte! She is great at staging and, of course, has excellent taste. My dad is usually the “catch all” guy, meaning if the cleaning lady (depending on the listing, either Mely, Fatima or Suzette) or anyone else cannot take care of the problem, dad will go out and take care of whatever minor issue there may be. My assistant, Jade, who has been with me for over five years is often able to answer many questions via Airbnb messaging. My assistant, Karen, who has been with me for over four years is also available to answer many questions. Depending on the listing that you're at, one of our cleaning staff will be able to assist – Mely, Fatima, Suzette or Sory. They all live close to the houses that they clean. Sometimes they will back each other up when one goes out of town on vacation or takes some time off. Being in the real estate business is a big plus here because we have access to a lot of contractors, as we are constantly doing rehabs. In fact, as I am writing this, we are putting on a new roof at one of our listings. So, we have our main contractor, Julio and his two workers. Julio works exclusively for us for the past several years and does a great job of taking care of the issues that arise. We also have other handymen and contractor specialists, like Jose who is an AC guy, several plumbers, electricians, etc. We have home warranties on several of our listings. Also, having so many listings has come in handy for our guests. Recently, a water heater, that was literally less than six months old stopped working. Well, we had another listing that you could literally walk to from the original listing and the guests were able to shower there, while we installed a new water heater. While that wasn't an ideal situation with the water heater breaking down during the guests' stay, the guests were happy that we had an extra house, with hot water for them to use. Personally, besides being the owner finance arm of the business, I LOVE Airbnbs! It's a great feeling being able to take a house, sometimes that is a real mess, then rehab it, stage it and watch guests enjoy it, and make great memories there. We have been on Airbnb as hosts for over six years and we are Superhosts, which we are proud of, and that helps push us to constantly upgrade and improve our houses all with the end goal to make sure our guests have the best stay possible!
