This is a brilliantly equipped family home in a great location. We greatly enjoyed our stay in spite of the really wet weather. The only problem we encountered was in relation to the sheets and towels. For visitors coming half way round the world it is a lot to ask for them to bring their own bedding...and we found that not all the sheets we brought fitted the beds!

Carey’s batch over Xmas was the perfect spot for our stay. Plenty to do with beautiful beaches nearby and kayaks at the property. Well appointed with great amenities such as fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of space for parking. Cute bush stroll nearby with glow worms at night. Lovely deck with table and chairs for brekkie, lunch or dinner amongst the natural trees and birds. Bonus little spot where Tuis come and land. Not to mention seeing the nest cows out back. Our group had 4 adults and 1 child 1yr 9mo. There was plenty of space for us. Would suit more people or even a smaller group or couple. Carey themselves is a lovely host who is super caring and responsive. All in all cannot fault the stay at all. Will be back for sure. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful home Carey and Pete.

Carey’s place was perfect to accomodate our two young families getaway. We love how close it was from our home in Auckland and the proximity to beaches, farmers market, playground and attractions. The spacious lounge and separate living space worked well with our stay. Carey was very prompt and smooth with communication, which we appreciated. She went over and beyond to cater to our needs. Thanks Carey!

We are a family with 3 young kids and we had a fabulous stay here. Communication was excellent and Carey was always happy to answer questions and give tips. The house had plenty of room for us and the location was perfect. We loved that Algies Bay was peaceful, and it was a short drive to Martin’s Bay which is a fantastic beach for little people, and in the other direction Matakana and beyond were easily reached as well. We filled in a week with no problem and everyone in the family wants to go back again.

Well presented, very quiet with native birds, lovely deck area and magical walk to beach.
