Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. The Ojochal Dome pushes you into the true jungle of Costa Rica. The peninsula the Dome sits on is wrapped by the River “Las Eses”, which acts as a natural corridor for animals to pass through; almost guaranteeing visits from Howler Monkeys, White-faced Capuchins, Toucans, Coatis, among so much other wildlife. From the deck you are able to see and hear the top of a private waterfall just a few steps away. Take a dip- it’s fresh and crisp. Open-concept, “studio”-style dome with a fully functioning kitchen, king-sized bed, AC, closed-in bathroom with hot water, and large covered deck: Glamping at its finest.

What a splendid trip down the coast to a pretty little town and stunning jungle stay. The Dome is beautifully designed and beyond comfortable. But the real treat is the back patio. We spent hours out there, breathing in everything—and enjoyed a close-up visit with a few wild friends, including a very curious monkey who came and had morning coffee with us. Well worth the trip to Ojochal. Bring groceries and go extra slow & also plan for a trip down the road to a few of the fantastic restaurants.
I'd give a million stars if I could. Thank you so much, Connor and Trinaty, for a beautiful stay. My hotspot died and so I had some trouble finding the place, but two neighbors helped me out and Connor was extremely responsive and came in his car right away to meet us. The place is exactly as described and pictured. The way to the waterfall was surprisingly accessible, and I was able to check it out easily even with a sore knee. Trin was an absolutely gem in giving me recomendations not only for a bus from Uvita to San Jose, but she also saved my behind at the last moment in getting a phenomenal last-minute taxi. This was the perfect place for me to unwind and chill after an action-packed week in the mountains. It's simple, quiet, full of plants, beautiful, and the geodesic dome is a structural engineer's dream (I was totally nerding out). Highly recommend folks come and stay at the Dome. It's a bit rural so be sure to bring some good eats!
The dome was absolutely wonderful! My highlight there was the deck off the dome that overlooked the creek and surrounding jungle vibe. Very tasteful and well thought out. Very quiet and peaceful stay. The dome itself is perfect for a couple and the AC was key! We loved it! Thank you Connor and Trinity, Pura vida 🌈🐒
What a cool spot! Monkeys swinging tree to tree, tranquility all around. It feels like a warm cozy hug. The place stays nice and cool and the bed is SUPER comfortable. Only a few minute drive to our fav coffee shop, Tagua and store for organic, fresh food, Origin. Like a previous review stated, don’t pass this up!
El dome es super espacioso y la terraza es un espacio muy bonito que lo envuelve con la naturaleza! Muy recomendado!

Ojochal is a quaint jungle town, which has seen a recent surge in expats moving from all around the world with their families. Local private/public schools, fine dining, and quick access to Uvita (15 minutes by car).
Close beaches (time driving, by car):
Playa Tortuga: 10 minutes
Playa Ventanas: 15 minutes
Playa Arco: 20 minutes
Whale’s Tail Beach: 20 minutes
A car is necessary to get around Ojochal and the southern zone, but access is easy, and 4x4 is not necessary.
