Tons of natural light, gorgeous, restored hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and stone fireplace in main room. Amazing river views from every room. French doors open to the wrap-around deck with private view of the Kalama River. Fish, swim and relax! Private access to the world-renowned Kalama River running from Mt St Helens to the Columbia. Day trips to Mount St. Helens, Mt Hood, ocean beaches in Oregon or Washington, Magnificent Columbia River Gorge; 15 minutes to Ilani Casino, and 35 minutes to Portland, OR.

Johanna was an amazing host. She was very accommodating and quick to respond. I already scheduled another stay and plan to stay many times in the future. Fantastic views of Kalama River, very peaceful, and has good bank fishing access right in front as well. We found her home to be very comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The best host I've interacted with. Looking forward to our next stay!
This Airbnb exceeded our expectations! It was my girlfriend and I first trip and the environment made us not want to leave the Airbnb. Everything is super clean, beds are very comfortable they have an amazing fire place for the cold days ! You have the river all to yourself and she has everything you can possibly need to make a meal. The drive alone to the Airbnb is beautiful and Johanna was an amazing host. We kept in touch and she was prompt to responde if I had any questions. My girlfriend and I will definitely be coming back for a get away and we will recommend this Airbnb to family and friends. My experience was a 100000/10 ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We had a lovely relaxing time, we would absolutely stay again. We would even bring our children in the summer. Lots of close parks and fun areas for kids to explore nearby.

We absolutley loved our stay! Such a hidden gem in a gorgeous setting. Right on the river bend and feels like you have the river to yourself. We caught a small trout as first time fishers (license required). Nice host, clean house with epic views. Perfect PNW vibes. If you are thinking about booking here you absolutely should!

Quiet dead end street with few neighbors right on the river
The town of Kalama is very quaint with multiple restaurants, grocery store and antique stores. Columbia river has a nice, 1.5 mile beachfront hike just outside of Kalama McMenamins. Kress Lake, about 1.5 miles away, is about a 1 mile hike around the lake and some lake fishing. Obviously, any fishing requires proper licensing - easy to acquire and lots of helpful information available at Washington’s Department of Fish and Wildlife website (I would have provided the link but Airbnb won’t let me).
Sacagawea Park in Longview is not to be missed. Have fun exploring!
You’re going to need a car to get to town and see the sights. Parking easy at the cabin and around the PNW. There are certain parks for which you need a pass, usually well-marked and easy to acquire
