Two minutes to Joyful Journey Hot Springs and 13 minutes to Valley View Hot Springs, you can spend the day soaking at the springs or discovering the unspoiled wilderness or exploring any number of spectacular, nearby ghost towns then come back to The Bastion for dinner and drinks by the wood burning stove. Many guests are so content by the fireplace that they just end up staying multiple days inside, relaxing in this cozy, ornate space. During the Winter and early Spring the home is heated exclusively by a wood burning fireplace, if you are not comfortable or familiar with wood burning fireplaces then this might not be the right booking for you. The master bedroom is spacious and lovely and opens directly into the stairs down to the kitchen and dining room area, without any door. The queen bedroom off of the living room is small and has double doors which latch/lock closed and a separate entrance/exit to the outside. If you travel with horses or other large animals I also have a large, built out barn and multiple paddocks and a fenced in 30 acre pasture that I’m happy to rent out for small additional fees, please ask first as some planning and set up will be needed for the first time a guest uses this service.
