A historic mid-1800’s building on the Petersburg Square! Guests will enjoy the entire apartment-loft which includes private Queen bedroom and private bath. The main living area features a full kitchen, dishwasher, 1/2 bath and washer & dryer. Accommodates up to six guests (airbeds, sofa bed pull out). Super big! 1400 square feet of historic and eclectic charm! Surrounded by red brick walls, solid oak floors and interesting art! “The Flat” is situated on the West side of the Courthouse Square in Downtown Petersburg. The old sandglass windows are the picture frame for the view of the historic County Courthouse and Square. The Flat will comfortably sleep 6 with a Queen bed for 2 in the Master Suite. A Queen pullout for 2 is located in the main living area, along with a traditional sofa for one. The large walk in closet has a single roll-a-way bed. Two Queen air beds are also available. The Flat has two bathrooms. The one off the Master is a full tub/shower bathroom. The second bathroom is a half bath. The Flat has a complete kitchen with dishes, glassware, pots and pans, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The Flat is complete with 2 high-definition smart screen televisions, WiFi and multi channel cable.

Great location, reasonable price.
We’ve Been staying at this place since 2018. It’s always been top notch on everything. I think the fees that are charged are a little much (service fees 60$) plus the rent fee. This time however it wasn’t as clean as it usually has been. The bed did have the top cover it usually has. We discovered food crumbs on the floor next the game table. And a couple of toys also. This place is still a good place to go, and we really like it. We drive from San Antonio every year to stay here. Kinda disappointing when good things turn bad.
I had my daughter’s birthday party/sleep over for her friends. Great space as there is lots of room for them to spread out.

The Flat is located in downtown Petersburg and is within walking distance to several local restaurants and shops. Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site is two miles south of Petersburg. Petersburg is located only thirty minutes from Springfield which is home to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Lincoln's Home and Lincoln's Tomb, the Dana-Thomas House, the Old State Capitol, and numerous other historic attractions. While visiting Petersburg check out Hand of Fate Brewing Company, and just a few miles outside of town the Hill Prairie Winery (Oakford) and West of Wise Winery (Petersburg), all of which often host special events and offer live music. Hand of Fate Brewing Company offers seasonal outdoor street-side seating / dining.
Lots of great shops are right on the Square! The Rose Cottage (Clothing and gift shop), Proud Souls (Clothing Boutique), The Yellow Door, 1st & 3rd, The Crazy Daisy, Country Pickins Antiques.
