We had a fantastic stay at The Schoolhouse. A lovely home with lots of charm and very well maintained. Everything was perfect for us and was ideal for our trip away with the kids. Niek & Els the hosts, were great at communicating in the lead up to our trip and check in was very easy and quick and we felt very looked after. Niek & Els have created a magical, private space for people to escape to, Well located in a quiet and peaceful area but full of interesting places to discover and lots of activities close by. The ideal location for exploring the coast, picture perfect towns and the lovely countryside. Really recommend (especially if you like to get around by bike)! We are already looking forward to coming back.

Très bon acceuil par Niek avec des explications et des cartes pour des ballades et sorties dans la region. Le village est tres calme avec un restaurant local et le clocher de l'église à visiter. Nous avons découvert Furnes et Dixmude à vélo. belles découvertes.

We hadden een rustig verblijf in Lampernisse! Het was speciaal om in een school te slapen. Wij en onze vier kinderen hebben er allemaal van genoten, leuke uitstappen gemaakt en we waren snel aan zee om uit te waaien. De pingpongtafel was een hit.

The Old School House was a wonderful place to holiday. Near enough to lots of beautiful cities and historically interesting sites. Niek had thought the last remaining owl had gone so imagine our surprise when it was sitting in the tree in the playground. Niek and Els were lovely hosts, very friendly and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend this beautiful place and area.

All of us (3 generations) really enjoyed our stay with Niek & Els. They're both super hosts, very responsive, kind and interesting. We particularly enjoyed seeing the owls, the peaceful and beautiful landscape, the clean and comfy house and all the many attractions in Flanders. Special thanks to Els for letting our son try sculpting!
