The Prokljan and its surroundings
Lake Prokljan, Croatian: Pruklansko jezero, has an area of ​​11.5 square meters and is therefore the fourth largest lake in Croatia. It has the peculiarity that it is fed by the Krka Waterfalls and the natural channel to the Adriatic Sea.
The Prokljan lies in a unique, often untouched nature. Far away from mass tourism. Perfect for long walks and cooling off in the refreshing water.
And if you feel like the sea and the beach, then visit one of the many beaches around Šibenik. With a little bit of discovery you can find secluded bays and wild beaches along the coast. Of course there are also numerous official beaches. The city beach of Šibenik can be reached in 10 minutes by car.
Šibenik is 8km away. A visit to the picturesque old town with its Unesco monuments and a walk along the harbor with its cafes and restaurants are worth it. The Krka Nature Park with its famous waterfalls can be reached in 20 minutes by car. A tour through the Kornati Islands is also an absolute highlight. The cities of Split and Zadar with their airports are each an hour's drive away.
