Conveniently located in Olympic Valley. Minutes to Palisades (via free Mountaineer shuttle which picks up and drops off at the door). 10 minutes to Tahoe City for lake access. Steps to the Truckee River Bike Trail and just a short drive away from several trailheads. Make this your home base for unlimited outdoor adventure in the greater Lake Tahoe area. Fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to make a full holiday meal. Cozy wood stove to add to the mountain getaway charm. Make yourself at home in our cozy mountain get away! You’ll find 3 bedrooms. The first two have queen beds and the third room has two bunk beds with a twin bed over a double bed. There is also a pop out trundle under one of the double beds. Additionally, there is a portable crib (Baby Bjorn) available for use if needed. There are two full bathrooms. The first has double sinks/vanities with a shower/tub combo. The other bathroom has a full shower and lots of counter space. The living room has a vibe of retro ski chalet with a wood stove for ambiance and extra heat if desired. There is a new Ecobee central heat thermostat to make the home a comfortable temperature for you and your guests. There is a bookshelf stocked with board games. Ski/Snowboard racks are available to make storing equipment day to day a breeze. Multiple adjacent coat hooks make drying ski bibs/jackets, as well as helmets, super convenient. A boot/glove dryer is also provided to help dry your gear between days or simply to warm them prior to heading out for the day. The kitchen is fully stocked with all supplies needed to make a full Thanksgiving dinner. A Keekaroo high chair is also available for use. The patio is a lovely spot for lunch/dinner in the spring, summer and fall. There are views of the valley as well as enjoying the surrounding pine trees and fresh mountain breeze. There is a flat parking pad which easily fits 2 vehicles. 3 vehicles can fit easily in spring/summer/fall. If you have 3 cars in the winter, parking can be tight, but do able depending on size of vehicles and how they’re parked. In times of heavy snow, snow does slide down from the roof, so be careful not to park right under the edge of the roof. To get into the home, there are three steps. During the winter, the home is part of the free Mountaineer shuttle. It provides on demand rides that pick up and drop off at the front door to Palisades ski resort (or anyways in the Olympic Valley). It allows our guests to avoid the parking reservations/fees for the resort or if you simply want to go do some shopping and grab a bite to eat. The shuttle runs til 11PM in the winter and is a great choice if dining out within the valley! During spring/summer/fall, the home is very conveniently located to get to the lake and a short 15 minute drive to Tahoe City. However, it is much quieter and a nice tranquil retreat after a full day of adventure out and about. Enjoy a meal on the deck and enjoy the views of the valley. Unfortunately, we do not give refunds for bad weather/poor road conditions. Occasionally, there are power outages during severe storms. Additionally, occasionally amenities are broken by previous guests. We make every effort to repair them in a timely manner, but cannot provide refunds for amenities which are not working. Booking our property acknowledges these conditions and agrees. Thanks! Please note that we are required to collect taxes of 10% for Placer County Transient Occupancy Tax and 1.5% Transportation Tax and 1%TBID Assessment Tax. This is the tax reflected at check out and is a pass through cost that is paid to Placer County. Please no smoking anywhere on the property (inside the home or outside). It is a big fire hazard. There will be a $500 dollar fine if there is smoking anywhere on property. But more so, please help us keep Tahoe beautiful, clean, and safe. Thank you!
