Kick back and relax in this stylish, peaceful space. The unit is a short 15 min drive from town and is a one bedroom, one bathroom suite built in 2023. The bedroom has a loft bed above the queen bed, which is a great space for guests with kids. The 3.7 acre property backs on to endless greenspace and trails. The suite contains a 400 sqft upper deck that has beautiful mountain views and is great for northern lights viewing. Next to the rental suite is a log home that the property owners live in. The guesthouse is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and backs on to endless greenspace. The building was built in 2023 and is an apartment built atop a garage. The guesthouse shares a property with the property owners. The owners are a family of four, plus a dog, that have lived on the property since 2012. The guesthouse was designed and built to minimize interaction between the owners and guests. The deck faces south to maximize sun exposure. The backyard has a grass lawn, with a fire pit, and is very private. The space is well suited for business people, families, or travelers. Devon’s cabin is more than meets the eye. His place is a sanctuary from the roads of the Yukon wilderness.
Our family stayed here for some much needed R and R. The drive from California to Alaska was brutal. Devon’s place was a haven and we will forever be grateful that he was our host!
Devon’s place was perfect. A beautiful place to stay and amazingly decorated inside. We stayed a couple nights on our transit through Canada on our way to Alaska. We wish we would have stayed longer! This would be an amazing winter stay as well with its scenic second story porch for Northern lights viewing. Lots of trails off the back for some great hiking and their dog, Baby, was very friendly and played with our’s and joined in on fun. A short drive into Whitehorse where Devon and his family provide good recommendations.
Wolf Creek is a rural residential neighbourhood located 15 km from downtown (15 minutes). It was developed in 1980 and includes mature houses and a mix of young families and original owners. Most of the properties in the neighbourhood are 2-3 acres. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. There is a great park around the corner from our property that has a playground, boarded skating rink, and a brand new kids bike track.
Since we are located 15 km from downtown, you will most likely want a vehicle to access our property. With the rise of e-bikes, more people are using e-bikes to commute to town, including me. There are a number of services in the vicinity of our property including a craft brewery, gas station, ski hill, off sales, restaurant, campground, and lots of trails.
