The place was a 6 minute walk to Interlaken West station, which is really convenient to get to trains or buses to explore other towns. Plenty of food choices available on the main street, all within a 10 minute walk. Place is newly renovated and clean, would recommend to stat here if you are planning to base your trip in Interlaken.

I booked it last minute like 8 hours before reservations were closed. I'm happy to get a private room with a queen size bed for the price I paid. I later found out it's because of the bad rating. Having stayed there and in Germany, I believe the bad reviews are coming from tourists not used to the automated systems without any staff around. If you can read instructions and set proper expectations, there's nothing wrong with the place to deserve such low ratings. If you are coming from the USA for the very first time, expect the room to be like NYC apartments - quite small. I don't have a problem with that. There's a coffee maker and hot water kettle but no other kitchen items. The room doesn't get cleaned like hotels but at the end of your stay like any other Airbnbs. You can request to get them cleaned. I only picked up more coffee when the cleaning lady came. The washer and dryer is one single machine. It takes 4 hours to do a load and no detergent is provided.
