The two of us spent 2 nights in this place in December and we can generally recommend it. Playa Larga is a smaller town but we had a nice time going for bird watching (the national park office is right next door) and visiting the area by a taxi. I think the beaches very close to the town are average, for a good beach and snorkeling experience, I'd recommend heading towards Playa Giron and stop a few times along the way (leave the cave thing, and find a less popular stop) any driver can give you tips. Cenia speaks decent english and can help you with general requests.

Buena habitación (muy amplia) con lavabo propio. Tiene entrada independiente. Estuvimos poco tiempo porque llegamos tarde y nos fuimos pronto al siguiente destino. No encontramos ningún sitio abierto para cenar y Cenia nos pudo hacer unos sándwiches. Recomendable.

The best thing about Laura’s house is that it’s sparkling clean! The second best is Laura’s ability to communicate in English. There’s other great things about the amenities like the minibar which is a plus.

Cénia est une personne très attentionnée et communicative tout en restant discrète. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ses petites attentions pour que notre séjour soit merveilleux. Elle nous avait notamment préparé du pain afin d appâter les poissons lors de notre snorkling. Ses jus de fruits, petit déjeuner et sa langouste décortiquée sont excellents. Cénia nous a conseillé un ami guide Angel afin de visiter les parcs et mangroves des environs. Sa maison est bien située en plein cœur d'un charmant village très authentique. Bref une très bonne adresse que je recommande vivement.

La habitación donde estuvimos era genial. Cenia nos recomendó varios sitios que visitar y además nos preparó rápidamente la comida porque teníamos una excursión y nos atendió muy bien. Lo único que echamos en falta fué más comunicación con ella para poder contarnos cosas, pero entiendo que no todo el mundo es igual y que a lo mejor mi pareja y yo somos más así y que hay gente que le gusta más tener su intimidad. Esto no quita que sea muy buena persona y que el trato fue muy bueno.
