If fishing and water is what you enjoy, there are several large lakes just a short drive away. The nearby towns offer even more historic sites, antique shops, and unique boutiques. For nature lovers, the Mineola Nature Preserve is only minutes away. A comfortable, peaceful, uncluttered 100-year-old home located two blocks behind the historic downtown area of a quaint small East Texas town. Decorated with the 1940s in mind, when things were slower and simpler, this home is a perfect place to relax while enjoying the charming shops, activities, and restaurants of Mineola and the surrounding towns.

Darling little place! We enjoyed the stay easy walk to downtown.
Such a cute & clean home with thoughtful details. We enjoyed our morning walks to the coffee shop surrounded by beautiful trees! We loved staying here.
We felt immediately at home the moment we arrived. Shelly had many special touches and information throughout the house for convenience. You can tell how much she loves her home and because of that she cares for her guests. We were in the area for the total eclipse. We had never visited this area of Texas before. We loved it and hope to come back again. Mineola is a welcoming town and staying in the house was so peaceful and wonderful.
Shelly and Avery’s Escape were wonderful. Shelly was so helpful and responsive and checked in on us when the winter storm came through. The house is beautiful and all the special touches were greatly appreciated. Thank you for a nice and flexible stay during a hard time and bad winter weather.
