I am a guest who has also been a host for 5yrs, so I understand that guests have a variety of requests that put pressure on the hosts to accommodate them. This was not the case here. During the holidays we booked this West Village 1br and upon arriving noticed that it was drafty & noisy & the walls shook every time someone entered or left the building. I immediately told Blueground and was challeged by over a WEEK of being told that I would have to pay a $1500 relocation fee. A week of not sleeping, smelling inside every cigarettes smoked outside, of hearing from them that this was somehow going to cost me $1500 to simply move MYSELF to another location. I played the game, asked to speak with other people daily and on the 7th day I was granted a different story by a sensible person. I moved myself to another location but then at THAT location (lol) I had a (very nice) maintenance man come in to the apartment unannounced and take a mirror. Bad communication, no renter protection. Whack
