Space From its curb appeal and elevated position to its stylish interiors and a long list of inclusions, this home is bound to impress. The downstairs comprises a seamless flow from front to back, with an abundance of natural light, drawn through a generous amount of glass, bouncing off crisp white walls. The main living space is open but lineated through clever use of space into kitchen, lounge and dining. The lounge area feels intimate and charming, opening up onto an intimate front courtyard. The sitting area features a timber wall from the original house which has been cleverly re-worked into the renovated design. There is a TV and a comfortable sofa and armchair. The dining suite seats 8 and there are stools at the breakfast bar along with an eat-in kitchen bench that seats a further 4. The kitchen is generous in size, sleek and modern, with high end appliances and also incorporates a study nook. It’s well-equipped, and includes a dishwasher, steamer and a microwave. The laundry is cleverly hidden within the kitchen joinery for easy access and includes a stacked washing machine and dryer. The kitchen and dining both open out to the deck, offering a terrific entertaining space. The deck houses a table for 8 and steps down to the lower level with the sparkling heated pool, hot tub and double sun lounge providing a holidayers’ haven. The outdoor shower is perfect if you’ve spent the morning at the beach. The garage also serves as a gym and games room, offering a range of fitness equipment, a table tennis table and a wall mounted TV with luxe bean bag seating. With WiFi provided, the children will be more than happy! Although the garage is set up as a teen retreat and gym, it can be cleared to fit 1 car if required. There is also ample street parking available or enough space to park behind the garage within the laneway. Should you need to work, there is a separate study that also provides a relaxing space with a sofa and TV, for some quiet time. Upstairs there are 4 generous bedrooms. The master has a King bed, built-in joinery, and a beautifully decorated ensuite with shower, bathtub, vanity and toilet. With dual-aspect windows, you can see the ocean views from the bed. There are also ocean views from the second bedroom which has a Double bed and a delightful window seat to take in the vistas. The third and fourth bedrooms are on the roadside of the house but are equally well-presented, the third with a TV and Queen bed and the fourth with a Double bed, both with desks and built-in joinery. The shared modern bathroom has a shower, vanity, and toilet. All linen is provided. With reverse cycle air-conditioning, everything has been provided to ensure your comfort. Neighbourhood In a quiet residential street, this home is located opposite the fascinating Waverley Cemetery, well worth exploring for its historical interest. At the end of the street is Clovelly Bowling Club, an outdoor gym, a sportsfield and a coastal track that’s part of the Bondi to Coogee walk and the Sculptures by the Sea route. Clovelly Beach is a mere 300-metre walk from the property. A sheltered bay incorporating sandy beach, concrete platforms, rockpools, a sea pool, green space and a cafe, it’s the perfect place to find a spot to relax or to take the children for a swim and a play. Nearby are also many eateries, ranging from the very local Clovelly Hotel to the many family-friendly options, including takeaway, on Clovelly Rd. There are a great many more just a short drive away at Coogee. It’s a food-lovers delight! A Woolworths Metro at Bronte and a local bakery are nearby options for food supplies. With Moore Park Golf, Centennial Park, and Royal Randwick Racecourse not far away, there are plenty of activities to engage in. And if a bit of retail therapy is on the cards then Westfield at Bondi is one of the best shopping centres in Australia, offering a range of designer to high street options. We had an exceptional experience at the Clovelly holiday rental managed by Cobbold and Co. Penelope and Sophie, the agents, were excellent—swift responses and top-notch service. The house itself was beautiful, boasting a fabulous pool and hot tub. The property has great public transport links which made it really easy to get into Sydney to see all the sights. Good choice of cafes within walking distance and the beach was a five minute walk away. We cannot recommend this property and Cobbold and Co highly enough. A fantastic holiday.
