You can book McArthur Manor for any duration of time and feel at home here. It’s an impressive looking Georgian building, but also feels like a cosy home. You can enjoy a relaxing or exciting stay, as you would in your own private “hotel” (with or without staff, at your choice). The Manor is a real haven, where gatherings, retreats, reunions & any kinds of celebrations are welcome. We find that the Manor is an ideal place to get together in an intimate atmosphere and create memories to cherish. The Manor underwent a complete renovation, while retaining its original period character. The authentic Scottish decor enhances the charm of this luxurious property, with notable features including: 15 bedrooms which all have their own en-suite bathrooms a beautiful celebration space / games space with pool table & table tennis table your own private pub (that can be left fully stocked or empty for you to supply the drinks) a spacious yet cozy lounge with a grand fireplace a large commercial kitchen facility with pizza ovens 2 dining rooms an enclosed courtyard a front patio with furniture for 30 guests and adjoining bandstand We love that the communal spaces are very welcoming and perfectly serve as a hub, creating an excellent environment for everyone to come together. You have the option to self-cater, or our team can provide catering and entertainment, as per your wishes (all staffed services are charged on top of the rental fee, based on your requirements and guest numbers). Our range of services are designed to cater to every need, from breakfast, lunch, party food or formal dinner options, to airport collections and designing bespoke itineraries for your whole visit. We also offer an extensive selection of entertainment and activities for an unforgettable stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Manor! Nicholas was really communicative all the way through and was incredibly helpful. He was on-hand for everything we needed. As for the property, wow! It is such an incredible building and perfect for what we needed - we had a friends reunion / 30th birthday party with a casino night, and having our party in such a nice setting made it really special. Something else we all though was cool was pulling our own pints of beer in the bar (they let you buy the kegs for the group). The team was really flexible and offered more than we expected (even washed my clothes after a morning run in the rain). The rooms were great too. Blairgowrie, although not the most picturesque town in Perthshire, has everything you need and it's on the doorstep to the Highlands, if you want to leave the property (not sure why you would, though!). We'll definitely book again! The rest of the party are already thinking of other reasons to come up and stay!

A two-minute drive, or five-minute walk, from the Manor and you will find yourself in the heart of Blairgowrie. A little town with picturesque narrow streets and a welcoming one-way system. Blairgowrie offers visitors plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. The river Ericht is absolutely beautiful and runs through the centre of town.
Restaurants & Shops:
There are plenty of small independent local shops and cafes in the town of Blairgowrie, along with a large Tesco supermarket about 10 minutes walk from the Manor so you can get any edibles you like (open 7am -11pm). The local Co-op is the closet shop to us and can be reached on foot in 4 minutes.
Blairgowrie has retail park which is 5 minutes drive away from the Manor. It has a Starbucks, Lidl and Home Bargains.
Local activities:
The countryside surrounding the Manor and Blairgowrie has some of the most famous Golf courses in the world close at hand.
You will also be able to take part in a whole range of activities all year round: Skiing, fishing, shooting, mountain biking, hiking (Blairgowrie being the main start point for the 60-mile circular Cateran Trail that walkers can follow around the historic drove roads used by cattle rustlers). Or you can always try 4x4 off-road driving, quad bikes and even tank driving!
Attractions:
Blairgowrie is a charming little town with lots of character, set right in the heart of Scotland.
If you are coming from abroad, you will enjoy discovering the fascinating country that is Scotland with its rich history and its authentic culture.
There are plenty of local attractions drawing visitors from all over the world, such as Whisky Distilleries, numerous Castles, Lochs, wildlife and a beautiful rural landscape.
Some local events include golf competitions, Highland games, Bagpipe marches, Festivals etc.
Visit Scotland pages will have details for all local events happening in the area or you can visit the Tourist information in the town centre.
Driving: Coming from the south, travel up the A1 towards Edinburgh and then take the M90 to Perth, or M6 to Glasgow and the M80/A9 on to Perth. From Perth it is the A93 to Blairgowrie.
Air travel: The nearest airport is Dundee (40 mins) but most flights will go into Edinburgh Airport (1 hr 15 mins).

Train: The nearest station is Perth (30 mins), from here you can catch a local bus or taxi.
Bus: Take the 57/57A or 58/58A from Perth to Blairgowrie - check the local bus schedules (on PKC website)
The private driveway up to the house is large enough for a 52 setter coach if you want to book group transport. We would recommend using:

Hello, I'm Nicholas, your dedicated house manager at McArthur Manor. I count myself lucky to live in such a beautiful part of Scotland with my wife and delightful six-year-old son. In the past, I found myself stuck in a monotonous desk job as an engineer in England. Fast forward to today, and I'm honoured to bring people's dreams to life in this extraordinary haven called McArthur Manor. Every day feels fulfilling, and I couldn't be happier.
