The house is located in the town of Mezzolago, a small village in the Ledro Valley in Trentino.
Casa Lena is located a few meters from the beaches of the magnificent Lake Ledro, for nature lovers it will be possible to take long walks along the entire path that runs along the lake, follow trekking routes with different levels of difficulty or dive into the crystal clear waters of the delightful lake basin where you can practice many water sports such as fishing, windsurfing, sailing and pedal boats.
You cannot miss a visit to the Lake Ampola biotope nature reserve, rich in plant and animal biodiversity. The visit will conclude at the visitor center for further historical insights.
The Ledro Valley also offers access to the Pile Dwelling Museum, the territorial headquarters of the Muse, completely renovated and where the visitor will be accompanied in the discovery of daily life dating back to the Bronze Age. In 2011 the site was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
3 km from Mezzolago there is also an interesting museum which houses relics of the Third War of Independence, the Great War and past testimonies. It is the starting point for then visiting the Colle di Santo Stefano with its military walkways and the Ossuary Church.
In the Pur area, a few km from Casa Lena, in an area completely surrounded by greenery not far from the lake, there is an open-air museum of artistic works completely made with natural material where even children will have fun discovering the wonderful sculptures present and listening to the sounds of the forest immersed in a suggestive atmosphere.
Even in the Valle di Concei area, just a few minutes' drive from Casa Lena, it is possible to spend unforgettable moments in the nature of a lush forest enhanced by wooden sculptures representing magical and legendary characters, with various sensory itineraries.
There will be no shortage of stops to rest or refresh yourself throughout the Ledro area where we suggest tasting the various culinary offerings rich in tradition and history both in the many restaurants present and in some refuges in the surrounding pre-Alpine mountains.
