This modern studio has hardwood floors, vaulted ceiling, a private entry and a private deck overlooking a wooded creek. A kitchen is tucked into one corner. Next door, Andy's upscale market offers staples, wine and freshly-baked pastries. A new sofa bed with premium mattress turns the living room into a bedroom. Wifi and an HD smart TV make this a good place to work or watch sports. The Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco are 15 miles away. Most of Wine Country is within 60 miles. This free-standing guest house is private, has a private entry, a newly renovated bathroom and one big versatile room. The sofa turns into a comfy bed at night. Daytime, it's a couch which, along with a large table/workspace make it a great place to live/dine/work during the day. Buy dinner next door at Andy's market. Cook it in the kitchen. A rear sliding glass door opens to a private deck and sitting area. It's got a closet, extra shelves and drawers in the bathroom, so plenty of room for clothes and toiletries. Bedside tables have electrical sockets and USB ports. The newly renovated bathroom has a shower but no tub.

I loved staying in Betsy‘s cabin. It was quiet, comfortable and I really liked having my own private space, while she was totally available to answer any questions or for anything I needed.
Betsy was a considerate and thoughtful host. I stayed there to get a distraction-free space for writing, and I finished the first draft of my book in record time. Betsy was incredibly hospitable, and I felt safe and welcome. I will be returning here again for the next writing session.
Betsy's place is a beautiful find in a great location. Right next door to a great market and walking distance to coffee, shops and restaurants. Small and nicely appointed, clean and super comfortable. My wife stayed here in February and we came back the next month!
This cottage was perfect. It is a studio that is great for 1 or 2 people. Betsy was very responsive and helpful. Great quiet location and next door to Andys market -which I loved. Thank you Betsy - you are a wonderful host.

Friendly family neighborhood located in the flats of San Rafael between two ridges that are beautiful for hiking. We've got the best of both worlds - a little urban with Andy's Market next door but also rural enough to see birds and deer and hear coyotes. Hike the ridge trail at the end of our street or, in 5 minutes, you can be in downtown San Rafael or downtown San Anselmo, both with lots of great shops and restaurants.
Parking is easy. Both San Rafael and San Anselmo downtowns are less than 5 minutes away. Easy easy access to U.S. 101 to get to San Francisco, Point Reyes, Stinson Beach, Mt. Tamalpais or wine country.
