Welcome to Tallowwood House at Koru Sabi Lodge—a peaceful paradise on 20 acres of rainforest nested in Upper Burringbar. You will feel far away and close to everything you need at once. Relax in the outdoor bath, take a hike through the forest to discover a hot tub & sauna or go for a ride on the Rail Trail to visit some of the best farms and restaurants in the region. You are: - 5 mins to Burringbar town - 15 to Wooyung beach - 20 to Brunswick Heads - 30 to Byron Bay - 40 to Gold Coast airport Tallowwood House was designed and hand built by our neighbour—a Japanese furniture maker—in 1979. It is a unique, rustic and intimate cabin that includes: - A loft bedroom with a king size bed - A lounge with two daybeds that can accommodate additional guests upon request - A small, but spacious kitchen with electric cooktops, a fridge, toaster, kettles, coffee machine and all the cookware and utensils you could ever need - An indoor fireplace (Note: firewood is not provided during Summer) - 2 showers (one indoor and one outdoor) - An outdoor bath - A large, outdoor deck - Handmade, outdoor dining table and seats & - A fire pit Outside of the home, you can also enjoy: - Bush walking tracks that traverse through the property - A wood fire hot tub (2 mins from the house) (Note: there is an additional fee to use the hot tub) - A barrel sauna with an electric heater (2 mins from the house)

Beatiful place, amazing getaway, private. Loved the sauna and hot tub sauna and the rainforest walk. Cabin was quite magical, but it could do with a refresh. Thanks for the stay, would visit again!
We were so impressed! We knew what we were respecting obviously with the photos, but words can’t justify how simply amazing this property was. Being out in nature, showering outside, having the fire pit going, using the sauna, and the hot tub only added to how excellent this made us feel. I would not hesitate to return again and again and again. Simply breathtaking. Josh was an unbelievable host gave some great recommendations for the local cafe and was super helpful and friendly. Do not look anywhere else. This is your little wood cabin in the woods getaway that you need

A quiet peaceful neighbourhood with one way culdesac surrounded by a fresh, spring fed running creek and swimming holes close by. Only 5 minutes drive to the closest shops.
You will definitely need a car, however there are some great bike riding tracks on the rail trail close by that can get you to Hosanna farm for lunch and dinner and Murwillumbah town for some great restaurants, cafes, cinema, galleries and everything else you might need.
