The airbnb was very easy to find & the instructions on how to locate it are very clear. It was cozy, the bed was amazingly comfortable, & I found the sunflower theme really cute. However, my experience was unfortunately tainted due to no running warm shower water & the mini fridge being at room temperature. I turned the knob for hot water all the way several times for several minutes but it remained cold. I didn’t want to shower in cold water so I unfortunately just didn’t shower (which was such a bummer after a long day). As for the fridge, I’m not sure if it’s normally like that but it just was not chilled whatsoever so I couldn’t keep my perishables fresh. I wasn’t able to resolve these issues since the hosts were out (which is understandable for a Saturday night + I checked in a bit late around 8) I didn’t see any other reviews touching these issues so I’m thinking maybe I just had bad luck, but it definitely was just not the greatest experience for me due to these two things.

Great place to stay especially to those without cars, everything is walkable distance and a very safe community. Very good host, no interruptions and prompt response during the stay. Definitely will return.

Nice Airbnb for our short stay in San Mateo. Christopher and Melissa were very friendly and answered our questions right away. They responded immediately to the few small hiccups we had when checking in. Would easily recommend them for staying in San Mateo.
