We booked the place at the very last minute (eve before arrival) and arrived with little expectations after a long day on the road but a nice, clean and comfy place to sleep. When we walked into the super stylish communal living / dining room, we were welcomed by Rebekah with a glass of wine, cheese, bread and a warm and cozy fire. The photos already look good but they quite frankly don‘t do the place justice, it is so much nicer and typically it is the exact opposite. Breakfast the next morning was really nice and we left with a few super helpful tips for our next stop. All in all the next Airbnb experience my wife, daughter and I have ever had and we have had our fair share over the years. It‘s a 20+ hour journey from Germany but we will be back.

Loved staying at Stony Rise. Felt so comfortable and welcome. I was treating my 79yo mum and she loved the space, the staff and the food. Sharing breakfast and sundowners with the other guests was wonderful. Perfect amount of time to share travel stories and get to know each other. The staff are wonderful, genuine and friendly and down to earth. Can’t recommend the lodge enough if you are travelling with dogs as we had 2 small ones with us and it was perfect for them and us.
