Enjoy all Arlington and the Nation’s Capital have to offer at this stylish, well-maintained, professionally decorated, and centrally-located 1950’s rambler. The main level has hardwood floors throughout and all the essentials (living room dining room, kitchen, and full bathroom) to go with the two bedrooms. The primary bedroom is large relative to the rest of the house (it was two bedrooms that have been converted into one). The other upstairs bedroom is average sized. There is also a balcony off the dining room in the back. From the downstairs you can walk out to the back patio (below the balcony). There’s also the family room, laundry room, full bath, and the third bedroom with a trundle bed and a sit/stand desk. Each level is approximately 780 square feet.

Clarendon Cottage was as advertised and more. My family and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot to be close to all that DC has to offer and have a quiet location to return to and relax for the night. Having the extra bedroom and tv room in the basement was fantastic to separate the kids, as well. Chris was super responsive and provided a great app with all the necessary info. If or when we return to the DC area, we will certainly look to stay at Clarendon Cottage again.
Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Chris’ place. Centrally-located, which made it easy to get to adventures in DC and beyond. Beautifully kept home that made us feel at ease right away. All the amenities we needed - dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc. A lovely back porch perfect for relaxing in the afternoon. Chris himself was very helpful and proactive in his communication - making sure we knew how to get in and suggesting a local event even before we arrived. Would definitely stay here again!
Perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 pre-teens. The kids had their own space downstairs which was great. Location was convenient to DC, only about a 15 min drive, close to the metro but we drove most places. Lots of restaurants close by and felt safe the whole time.

This is a prime location, nestled within walking distance to two neighborhood Metro stations— Court House, just two stops from Washington, DC; and Clarendon, one of the hippest neighborhoods in the entire DC area, known for it’s abundance of bars, restaurants, and shopping. Also within walking distance are 2 grocery stores (including Whole Foods, about a 10 minute walk), and hiking and biking trails to the Potomac River and Georgetown (the street dead ends just above the Custis Trail). If you’re driving somewhere, then you can be on any one of several thoroughfares (I-66, GW Parkway, Langston Blvd), within minutes.
Parking in urban areas can often be a challenge, but not at our Clarendon Cottage. The large driveway can comfortably fit 3 cars side-by-side. In addition to driving and walking to get around, there’s a Capital Bikeshares close by where you can rent bikes. Bird scooters can also often be found close by.
Two metro stops are less than a mile away. Courthouse Metro (which is only two stops away from Washington, DC) is 0.7 miles and about a 15 minute walk. Clarendon Metro is 0.9 miles and is about a 19 minute walk.
