Welcome to our cozy guest suite, nestled just 'south of the boulevard' in lovely Sherman Oaks. Just steps from bustling Ventura Blvd, experience LA's vibrancy with ease. The perfect retreat for travelers seeking comfort and convenience, enjoy a queen-sized bed, luxury bathroom, and a kitchenette with essentials. Plus, keep fit with our in-suite Peloton bike! Ideal for exploring Universal Studios, BH/Rodeo Drive, and iconic beaches, our suite offers a memorable stay in Los Angeles. This is a 420 sq ft guest suite above the garage of our primary home with private entrance through the side gate, and up a private flight of stairs. The suite has one bedroom with a queen sized bed, wardrobe, storage space in the cubes/side tables and under the bed, black-out curtains and its own mini-split air-conditioning/heating unit separate from the living area. The suite also boasts a large bathroom with marble floors, and separate soaking tub and standing shower. The main room has a TV area with a futon and flat screen smart TV, a Peloton bike, as well as a dining area with a CB2 table and a "wet bar" (functionally a kitchenette with a deep stainless steel sink with garbage disposal, mini fridge with freezer, microwave, bread toaster, Keurig cold/hot brew, hot plate for quick meals, utensils and plates). We offer self check-in and err on the side of giving our guests as much privacy as possible. You will have the use of our driveway during your stay, which is adjacent to your entrance (side gate) and our main front gate (on the opposite side). Some important notes before booking: - If you have mobility challenges, this might not be ideal due to the laminate wood stairs to get in/out of the suite (see pics). - Since this is also our occasional guest suite, and we have family members who are allergic/highly sensitive to smoke, we ask for non-smoking guests only. Distance to LA attractions (one way to destination from the house as mapped at 4:45pm on a Thursday, rush hour): - Universal Studios 18 min (15 min without traffic) - The Getty 17 min (12 min without traffic) - LACMA, famous Urban Light 35 min (20-25 min without traffic) - Rodeo Drive 25 min (18 min without traffic) - Annenberg Community Beach House 33 min (20-25 min without traffic) - Will Rogers State Beach 41 min (22-28 min without traffic) - Sunset Strip 25 min (18 min without traffic) - The Broad DTLA 53 min (18-22 min without traffic) *leave around 10am for DTLA - LAX (main LA international airport) tends to be 30 min to 60 min from us (it just really depends on the time of the day as with any LA driving times) - Burbank airport tends to be more convenient if that is an option for you
