Unplug at our mountainside hobby farm on Diamond Cave Road. A small herd of goats freely roams our fixer upper property, keeping weeds and brush under control. Our dog stays on patrol, protecting our goats and keeping the local wildlife at bay. The cabin sits just beyond our farmyard and is set behind a generous privacy fence so that you are truly away from from it all....except the animals. Please note that as we are a mountainside farm, our driveway is rough and steep. The cabin is small, semi offgrid and very quiet and secluded, with a functional mini kitchen and outdoor seating. The cabin sits behind a privacy fence so that you have your own yard. One queen bed is on the main floor and one sits in the large loft. A third bed, a twin, is in a high small loft and is best suited to someone agile! The cabins water source is rain catchment, so guests are asked to be conservative with water usage, especially during dry months. We have a firepit, cut wood, and hammock for your use outside. Seating is limited: one chair inside, an outdoor sofa and two folding chairs are provided.

Clean cabin in beautiful surroundings! We enjoyed our two nights in the hills of Jasper - Cookie was a major bonus, the cutest companion!
Bethany’s place was exactly what we were looking for! It was clean, spacious, and within easy access of all the trails we were going to. Their farm dog, Cookie, was such a delight! I couldn’t recommend staying at Bethany’s cabin enough!
Very cozy, clean cabin. We really enjoyed the front porch and firepit. Perfect location to escape it all.
It was exactly what we were looking for. The place was exactly as described, mountainside, remote and quiet. You definitely need a 4wd vehicle to reach it. The kitchen was a little bit bigger than it looked in the photos and ended up working well for the weekend. The water system is exactly as described & the shower is as expected from the photo. Cookie - the ranch dog - was adorable and friendly - she loves playing fetch !! About 15/20 minutes from horseshoe canyon ranch, floating and 30 mins to hiking. Right where we wanted to be.
The cabin was a fantastic for a solo get away in super peaceful surroundings. I enjoyed the rain on the roof, the cozy porch and listening to the thunder and while watching all the birds. It was awesome. Nearby hikes that the hosts recommended were also spot on and beautiful. The kitchen worked really well for my meals and was well thought out for actual food prep. I’d return in a second, if I were back in the area.

When you come to Newton County, you are are well and truly away from it all. We love the absolute privacy we have at our home.
If you want to get to the best hiking trails and swimming holes, an AWD vehicle is advisable.
