The photos don’t do this place justice! One side you are in the hustle and bustle of the Main Street, the other you are literally on the beach with a full view of sand and waves. The location was great and the beach is a beautiful and more private beach, less touristy than the main one. I recommend going to Golden Sea Fun club on the left of the beach door and letting them take you snorkeling with the turtles and fish! Beach warning: With lots of beaches in Sri Lanka the waves are dangerous. We saw one fisherman drown, 3 people drift off hundreds of metres (and rescued) and this all happened outside on the beach. There is dedicated swimming areas to the left and ask the locals if good to swim that day. Air con: air con option is not included in the cost, we did have it on the entire time and it cost about 60% of our total stay (about 25,000 LKR for one week). I know the warnings sound bad but this place is lovely, everyone was friendly and the value (even with ac) is incredible!

Host was super lovely and helpful. The apartment is clean, the bed is comfy and the private beach access super nice!

Super mooie en fijne ruimte, pal aan het strand. De host stuurde geregeld een berichtje om te vragen hoe het ging en was heel aardig en behulpzaam. Fijne plek :)

Für den Preis ist die Unterkunft echt gut! Wir hatten nur unsere Schwierigkeiten mit den künstlichen Gerüchen in der Wohnung und der Strand ist zwar echt direkt hinter der Balkontür, aber doch recht voll und nicht so sauber, da haben uns andere Strände auf Sri Lanka besser gefallen. Uns wurde leider auch ein Kleidungsstück von der Terrasse geklaut welches wir zum Trocknen aufgehängt hatten, also lieber nichts unbeaufsichtigt hängen lassen. Dafür kann natürlich der Gastgeber nichts. Großer Pluspunkt waren die Liegen mit Polster und die kalte King Coconut zur Begrüßung.
