Our recently renovated hilltop stone cottage (30 m2 on 2 floors) is located just outside Vittorio Veneto, in the Prosecco Hills Unesco site. This warm and homely nest boasts magnificent views stretching out towards the site's unique hogback hills. It offers typical Italian country living and, at just 10 minute's drive from the town centre, lakes and hiking/cycling trails is ideally situated. It's easily accessible from the highway that (unfortunately) can be seen and heard in the valley below. La casa del Corvo is a precious jewel. Its original stone walls, typical wooden beams, and traditional terracotta floor lend a very special Italian authenticity to its cosy indoor spaces, which consist of a small living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The house also has a large outdoor area with garden, BBQ and private stone terrace where guests can eat, drink, and relax while enjoying breath-taking views of one of the main valleys that lead towards the heart of the Prosecco Hills. When Maria’s parents, Bruna and Poldo, bought the house in the mid-1990s, it consisted of nothing more than four walls. It was initially their dream to fix it up and use it as a summer weekend retreat, however she soon became ill and passed away. An architect by profession and expert on the Prosecco Hills territory, Poldo subsequently set about restoring the house - the four walls would soon have a roof, its interior was divided into a bedroom and bathroom and kitchen on two floors, and he later constructed the outside terrace and roof, as well as the BBQ area by himself. When Poldo died in 2020, Maria not only inherited the house but also her parents’ passion and love for this special place. In 2023 she and her husband Steve set about fixing up and redecorating the house. The idea was to create a space that not only retains the original characteristics of the area, but one that is able to add value to the territory by attracting and catering for guests who appreciate and respect their surroundings. So, we are happy to welcome guests from all over the world, and from all walks of life, to share with us the warmth, history and rustic charm of La casa del Corvo.
