Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Super peaceful home close to beaches, situated in Hampstead. Twenty minutes to historic Wilmington but three miles to local shops and restaurants. Home was originally a part of a large farm and is tucked away, surrounded by woodland and fields. This residence was originally built by the former owner as a shelter from potential hurricanes. It also served as a daycare center and after our purchase, as a home for our children as they came and went to and from college. The home was upgraded and remolded in late 2021 where ceilings were raised, floors completely redone, new counters installed and appliances added. The home was painted inside and out and was originally red, the same color as the laundry area building, hence the name ‘the red house’. Super comfortable, quiet and secure.

Kerry and Brad were very responsive and helpful. They have created a peaceful retreat and we had a relaxing stay.
These were very friendly people that responded quickly . The place was right in their back yard but you would never know it because they never bothered you unless you needed something. It was clean, peaceful, and had all the kitchen essentials. To top it off they supplied a washer and dryer which is a huge plus for me. Thank you for the hospitality and I can not wait to come back.
