Loved the stay. The comfy couch and tv were a hit on our rainy weekend. EVerything was delightful.
Vacasa pulled a bait and switch two nights before my arrival. I paid for a waterfront rental with a dock. I was moved to a non waterfront, no dock rental. It was too late for me to make any changes as I had a family event and was driving from Florida to Maryland. Upon arrival, the door code given to me by Vacasa didn't work. It took 30+ minutes in the cold to connect with someone locally. Upon entering, the WIFI code was wrong, and the router hidden. Finally, the local contact (again, bless her!) gave me the location of the router and access to the usable WIFI code. The towels were threadbare and there were no blankets for beds or throws for couches. There were no hangers for clothes. I'm supposedly being issued a refund of $163.86 for the bait and switch, which is not enough to compensate me. I've used AirBnB's all over the world and this is my first negative experience. It has always been easy for me to give 5 ratings. A 3 is charitable in this case. I will not use Vacasa again.
Overall our stay was just OK. After being shuffled to another home 2 days before our trip, we were given an early check in. We drove through the night to arrive early to rest only to be met with barrier after barrier and finally discovering that the door code given to me was incorrect. It was a pretty big inconvenience, but otherwise the stay was fine. I’ve never had any issues with Airbnb reservations like this so hoping it was just a fluke and won’t happen again.
Great place on the water. Top restaurants just minutes away but still on a quiet street. Great place to relax after a long day on the bay.
The house size was the right size for our family. We love the waterfront view! We brought our dogs and boy did they love the backyard. At first I was scared of letting the dogs loose because the dock was an open area. The gates are on both sides of the property. My husband and son were able to go fishing on the dock. The area is peaceful and relaxing.
