The location is stunning, and beautiful, even in winter, and the apartment, part of a larger house, was full of character. The manager, Donatella, was outstanding - responsive, helpful and full of life and always went the extra mile - e.g. she met us at the local garage, which was really helpful after a journey in the dark. The bottle of Prosecco added to the warm welcome. The apartment itself is very spacious and has only been rented out since the summer. This shows in the fine detail, for while the amenities like air conditioning/heating and a huge walk in shower are all there, the smaller things need fine tuning. There were not enough places to hang coats and clothes and a few more comfortable chairs would have been nice. But this did not really detract from an enjoyable stay, and we’re sure that when the teething difficulties are sorted out, it will be a five star plus venue. One small point : the lane leading to the house is twisty and narrow, so get a small car if you can.

Our stay at Podere il Giardino was very good, although the start was a bit difficult since the place was hard to find in the dark, it is a place where you can relax and leave daily life behind. It is very peaceful and the nature around the place is amazing. The apartment had everything you need, from olive oil, peper, salt to a toaster and even a small blender/mixer. During our stay the weather was terrible, a lot of rain, but the apartment was still comfortable to spend time inside. I’m still very curious to see how it will be during summertime and how it will end up with all the amazing plans for the place!

Abbiamo viaggiato in famiglia, con 3 bambini e un cane. Ci siamo trovati benissimo a casa di Maurizio. L’appartamento a noi destinato era spazioso e pulito, con tutto il fascino delle case contadine di un tempo, con un tocco di eleganza nelle finiture moderne. Giardino immenso e ben curato, un’oasi di pace. Abbiamo trovato comodo spostarci a Lucca e Viareggio, non molto distanti. È stato piacevole rientrare alla sera a casa a godersi la pace dei boschi. Raccomandato.

Wir hatten wohl den schönsten Urlaubsausklang in Maurizios Unterkunft.Sie ist so friedlich,paradisisch und ursprünglich.Die Unterkunft ist groß und geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Garten/Park ist atemberaubend schön. Wir haben manchmal auch das Gelände nicht verlassen und den Tag am Pool und im Garten verbracht. Bisher gibt es nur zwei Unterkünfte auf dem Gelände und man hat genügend Privatsphäre. Wir wurden von Maurizio und Donatella sehr liebevoll und herzlich empfangen. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft wärmsten, jedoch solltet ihr ein eigenes Auto besitzen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Herzlichen Dank!
