You will find La Grange within a rural tranquil setting 3km from the mediaeval village of St Pompon with its local amenities. A little further away are Monpazier, Domme, La Roque Gageac, Castelnaud, Beynac, the rivers, caves and other touristic sites of the Dordogne. After a busy day exploring the area and the beautiful Chateaux, towns and villages return to peace and quiet at La Grange, relax in the quiet of the countryside, or maybe eat out at a local restaurant or evening food market. La Grange, originally an agricultural barn, has been tastefully converted and retains many original timbers, it has an open plan ground floor with well equipped kitchen, utility room and shower/WC, a lounge area with stone fireplace and wood-burning stove and double height dining area in between with wooden staircase leading to galleried landings on either side. There is a super king master bedroom and family bathroom on one side and to the other side there is a double bedded room with a small child’s bed and third bedroom with 2 full sized single beds, which can be joined together to make a super king. There is also a cot and smaller travel cot plus two high chairs and stair gate available. The dining area has two steps down to the lounge. There is an outside door from the lounge to a private shaded terrace with outdoor furniture, loungers and barbecue. There are some toys for young children, table tennis, boules and a swing and slide in the enclosed private garden with a tree bench alongside, which is also adjacent to the separately enclosed private heated 6m x 4m pool. Any well behaved pet is welcome at an additional charge of 50 euro, dogs please to be kept on a lead when not in the La Grange garden. Please note that we live adjacent to La Grange with our dogs and cat. We have our own pool and private enclosed garden and there are no direct views over the terrace, pool or garden of La Grange. We will gladly give you any recommendations on local attractions, or help where necessary, if required, but we are respectful of your privacy.
