Enjoying a peaceful and secluded location within an attractive wooded valley, this spacious stone farmhouse sleeps up to ten guests across five bedrooms, making it the ideal destination for families seeking a rural retreat to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by an expansive garden, there is plenty of space for lively garden games and al fresco picnics, or if the weather turns inclement let off steam in the games room. The pretty village of Bampton (5 miles) is within easy reach where there is a host of independent stores and welcoming pubs serving local ales and homecooked food. Bampton is on the Exe Valley Way walking route and West Country Way cycle path for days exploring the stunning scenery. Approached via a long, wooded drive, your inviting holiday home has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with traditional touches and a homely feel. On entering the farmhouse, you will find plenty of space to relax with a choice of two separate lounge areas. The whole party can gather together in the spacious main lounge with two seating areas: at one end, curl up for an evening of quiet conversation in front of the large wood burner, whilst at the other, you can relax in front of the TV and catch up on your favourite programmes. Older teenagers will appreciate having a second lounge where they can watch TV or play games. Cook up hearty meals in the spacious kitchen, where you can plan your days over breakfast at the kitchen table. Special celebrations can be held in the formal dining room where all ten guests can be seated comfortably at the elegant table. With table football, table tennis and small pool table, the games room offers hours of entertainment for guests of all ages. When it’s time for bed, you will find five generous bedrooms, three doubles and two twins, all dressed in crisp linens and cosy duvets. Outside, light the BBQ for a sociable evening meal whilst younger guests enjoy playing on the large lawn.
