For a day out with a difference, experience the Beamish open-air museum, which is set within 300 acres of County Durham countryside, or head to nearby Newcastle for some retail therapy. Outside, a beautiful lawn and patio area with table and chairs is surrounded by lush woodland, perfect for al fresco meals accompanied by birdsong. There is off-road parking for two cars to the front of the property.
