The kitchen breaker switch was turned off, but pump was on, when we got there, so fridge was warm. Having to take the trash with was an inconvenience. Lots of big spiders, the dangerous kind. The bed needs to be retired, really hard to sleep in. The water pump went off and on all night, and sounded like it was just under the floor of the bedroom. Property was beautiful, peaceful. Close to town and hiking trails. Smart TV was nice on a cold night.

A private, peaceful cabin near Grand Marais amenities but also secluded if wilderness and wild is what you’re looking for! If you’re here in summer, load up on bug spray and sunscreen for sure and consider citronella candles, etc for outside. It’s very buggy. You’ll need to haul your own trash about 30 min out of town at the end of your stay, so if that’s a factor when you leave, plan ahead. We had a nice time!
