When the weather is good, you’ll want to open the back door and let your pups roam in the garden while you eat. When it’s time to retire, head upstairs and take your pick from the king-size and twin bedroom. Soothing tones and pretty views offer plenty of respite from a day packed with activity. In the morning, step outside and listen to the birdsong while your furry pals play fetch on the lawn. The garden table is perfect for al fresco dining and when darkness falls, you’ll want to sit here and watch as the stars light up the sky. From Frosterley, jump on the Weardale train with your canine companions and enjoy stunning scenery, river crossings and stops at the pretty market towns of Stanhope and Wolsingham. When it comes to walkies, enjoy riverside strolls at Weardale Way (1 mile) and Pine Woods (2 miles) or to really get tails wagging, let the pups scamper over the moors at Warren’s Peak (10 miles).
