This is the true definition of what cottaging should be! Located in the Algonquin/Madawaska Valley area and surrounded by towering white pines is our completely renovated 3 bedroom family cottage with lots of attention to detail and pride of ownership. It is nestled along one of the most beautiful lakes with your own private sandy beach. Very clean and cozy. We're sure you'll want to come back! Our family cottage is completely renovated with tasteful finishings and lots of attention to detail. It is absolutely cozy and quaint. Every square inch has been used to maximize space and efficiency making for a relaxing and chill environment. Our 3 bedrooms are small but comfortable and well laid out, all with quality mattresses, directional fans, baseboard heaters and window with coverings. Bdrm #1 has a queen bed, Bdrm #2 has a single over double bunk, and bdrm #3 has a single over single bunk. We do provide pillows but visitors will need to bring their own bed coverings, linens and towels. Our kitchen is complete with all utensils, cookware and basic appliances. It is also stocked with cooking basics such as general spices, oils, sugar and flour. Also provided is a bar fridge on the back porch to keep your drinks cold and free up space in the main fridge. Our 2 piece bathroom is very clean and also has a washer and dryer. We offer an outdoor shower, with hot running water including shampoo and conditioner and of course appropriate privacy. All of our past visitors shared how much they loved the outdoor shower! The brand new oversized front deck is a wonderful outdoor extension of the cottage and a great place to lounge in our Muskoka chairs and stare up at the towering pines overhead, or simply soak-in the sun. Our sprawling natural yard has a outdoor patio set with umbrella, 12 foot trampoline for the kids and a backyard fire pit with stocked firewood. The backyard propane BBQ also comes with a second tank as well! Steps down the driveway and across the private road is our serene and private sandy beach. The beach is well manicured and naturally landscaped. You can enjoy lounging on our dock, use of our two provided kayaks, aluminum rowboat, life jackets, shaded hammock, lounging bench swing or simply relax around a campfire with one of the most beautiful panoramic backdrops. The water entry is gradual and fairly shallow but swimmable the further you walk out. It's not too weedy but the bottom is a bit mucky. If you enjoy fishing we'd be happy to share the "good spots" where you'll catch pike, largemouth, pickerel and the regular feeder fish. Don't hesitate to take a stroll down at night and stargaze on a clear evening as some nights are spectacular! For a change of scenery, just a 5 min drive away is beautiful Wadsworth Public Beach (second last picture). It has spectacular swimming, beautiful late day sun and dramatic evening sunsets. Never too busy and always room to park close by. Another point of interest is Crooked Slide Park, a historical log chute. A great place to explore, have a picnic or take some pics. (see last picture)
