Christine’s chalet was perfect. Nestled about a 15 minute drive upwards into the alps, her chalet was peaceful and surrounded by views from every direction of snow-capped mountains. Her home looks like a classic chalet from the outside, but is renovated with modern amenities. The room was comfortable, with its own sitting area and private bathroom in the upstairs of the house. It is about 15 minutes from the quaint town of Moutiers, as well as 25-30 minutes from gondola access to Meribel from the town of Brides des Bans, or 35-40 minutes from gondola access at the town of Courchevel la Praz. Christine was also a very kind and welcoming host throughout. Every morning she would prepare a complete French breakfast with more food options than I could possibly eat, featuring different regional specialties. She also prepared a regional speciality for me for dinner, and often offered an apéritif in the evening. Finally, she gave me many local recommendations that made my trip easy!

Christine is an exceptional hostess. From the beginning she was extremely helpful in providing advice for our long ski weekend in the 3 valleys. The chalet was a true gem, at 1200m of altitude in this lovely rural village with more animals than people - "Heutecour les Moulins" - with a lovely lake and views of the valleys/mountains in front. Newly renovated with an incredible level of taste, design and attention to detail, the chalet has 2 guest rooms and bathroom upstairs, and the common area downstairs. You are only renting a room, not the full chalet, as clearly explained in the listing. Every morning Christine cooked for us a delicious continental breakfast with lots of local ingredients. Connections to the 3 Valleys is very easy. 20 min to the cable-car in Brides-les-Bains, or 30 min to the Alpinium car park in Courchevel Le Prazt. Everything was so perfect and Christine even helped us with weather forecast and traffic advice. Very highly recommended!!!
