Waterfront Retreat, on the Susquehanna River w/ dock space available for your boat in front of the house. The perfect place to enjoy yourself with your favorite activities; boating/fishing/hiking, outlet shopping, Amish country, theatre. Just come to escape and relax and enjoy eagles fly by at eye level (8 eagles nest surround the lake) you will have daily sightings. At the end of the day spectacular sunsets on your private deck or a bonfire lakeside. In southern Lancaster County. The Holtwood Preserve surrounds the 8 mile long lake, Lake Aldred, which is formed by two dams on the Susquehanna River. No new construction, keeps the woods protected. The Conestoga R & Pequea are tributaries, perfect for kayaking/tubing. Public boat launch in Pequea, free, has a handicap fishing dock 1/4 mile north of property. We have a large overflow parking area, perfect for storage of trailers & extra guest parking. We are surrounded by 39 miles of hiking trails & expanding biking trails. Lancaster City is a 25 minute drive with restaurants, shopping, activities lots to do & see.

This airbnb was absolutely beautiful. The inside was spacious and clean with views from every room. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had plenty of pillows, blankets, hangers etc. There were plenty of bath towels as well. You could spend all day enjoying the outdoor area. The deck is cozy and private and we really enjoyed spending time in the adirondacks down by the water. The view of the river and the stars at night are unmatched. We spent mornings watching the birds fly over the river. We would absolutely return to this wonderful place!

Brian was an amazing host, very kind and considerate. He helped us through some car trouble, which was absolutely not expected but greatly appreciated. Brian also allowed us to stay a little later then the regular checkout time, due to weather, which was huge. The lake House offered the best scenary, especially when it was snowing. Everything was amazing and anything that you would ever need for a vacation was provided. If 6 stars was an option, Brian and his lake House would get all 6. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Brian!

Pequea is a small village located in southern Lancaster County. Nature setting in the Holtwood Preserve. Known as the river hills area, terrain is hilly and windy, but beautiful. My husband jokes: " leaving civilization, entering paradise". This hidden gem, is the perfect boating area with an 8 mile lake, Lake Aldred, is idyllic. The Conestoga hiking trail runs right through Pequea. Lancaster County is known for the Amish, you will probable encounter their horse & buggies locally and through out the area.
Driving from Lancaster is @ 25 minutes. Take Rt 272 south jct onto Rt 324 south to the end. Rt. 324 is a windy country road through the beautiful countryside. It ends at the Susquehanna River. Turn south, left, over the Pequea Creek and go 1/4 mile to 632 Bridge Valley Rd., Pequea PA 17565. Property is on the right hand side at the end of the village.
