Exceptional stay in the incredible Newtown. Absolutely loved this place and would happily to return back to Urban for every stay in your beautiful city

This is a hotel. This is not clear in the listing. I had to ask for check in details through the app and then provide a credit card to the receptionist to check in. The room is fine, except for the fact that it is a pet friendly hotel, so the room doesn’t exactly smell like dog, so much as it smells like someone has cleaned up after a dog. And it also smells like dog. Otherwise it was clean enough. Cheap motel towels, cheap soap and shampoo etc. The place is staffed by backpackers as best as I can tell, so it’s all a bit shambolic. Feels more like hostel. I had a Brazilian guy walk into my locked room with his master key after I’d check in, didn’t knock first. Told me he was told the door was open but now it was closed. I was showering, so that’s why it was closed. Fine maybe for pet owners I guess, but if you’re going to stay here just take the advice of the receptionist and “book direct”. I’m sure AirBnB would love you to. Not sure why this place is on this app. Won’t stay again.

Absolutely ideal place to stay. Hotel quality with super comfortable bed for jet lag and super quiet and lovely to sleep in. I checked in and slept completely undisturbed in a wonderful bed. Don’t look anywhere else ! This is the best place and I travel everywhere so I know what I’m talking about. Also they let me check in early. For the other fit types there is an amazing public pool and gym that’s affordable and 50m long pool lane ideal for fit travellers and jet lag. As it’s council it’s very cheap too and lovely. Definitely a plus for anybody coming a long distance. Hope this helps somebody booking - look nowhere else.
