The Shearer's Quarters at Lochrae Homestead are beautifully renovated rooms with shared kitchen, dining, living and bathroom spaces. Perfect for groups of families or couples exploring the Nagambie region. It's comfy queen and king single size beds will give you the much needed rest you've been craving. Get ready for a day of exploring the Goulburn Valley or simply enjoying some lawn games in the backyard and at night, grab a wine and sit back by the outdoor fire bucket to enjoy the star-filled sky on a clear night. Each room is fitting with a split heating/cooling unit and ceiling fan so you'll be comfortable all year round. Grab one of our blankets and curl up on the couch to watch a movie on the smart TV. Or if you want to keep it a screen free zone, check out our selection of board games and puzzles. The indoor fireplace is only in use from May-September.

I had such a lovely stay here. Is it a beautiful property and felt so peaceful. The location is very convenient getting into Nagambie town despite the bridge closure. My only disappointment is not getting to stay longer!

The Shearer's Quarters at Lochrae Homestead are set in beautiful and quiet rural surrounds. Ella was a super welcoming and responsive host, but they have set the place up so that you can access yourself without any direct interaction. Large, clean bedrooms, bathrooms and living space. An absolutely stunning outdoor shower facility facing the sunset! Heaps of shaded private grassy areas to lounge about. Two things to note - first, it is a little drive out of Nagambie so you have to be self sufficient with transport, but it is very easy to ride a bike from Nagambie Train Station (take the old Kirwans Bridge which is closes to vehicles but open to pedestrians and bikes). Second, the living area and bathrooms are shared (you may get lucky and be by yourself like we were) and you have to go outside (undercover) to get between them. All in all, perfect for a quiet getaway and really great value - thanks Ella!
Our stay was absolutely beautiful. The perfect peaceful location!
Overall great place to stay, unfortunately we missed on the listing that the lounge / kitchen area was a shared space which could have made it difficult with one of us planning to work in a private space, luckily there was no other guests.

Lochrae Homestead is a rural property so having your own vehicle is necessary. There are limited taxi services in the area, but please get in touch if you need them. There is plenty of space for parking on the property.
