Welcome to Tumby Pool House — an original Australian Queenslander restored to a modern-day family oasis. Take a dip in our magnesium pool, dine al fresco at the BBQ area, and simply unwind with loved ones. This humble, renovated 3-bedroom home offers a perfect relaxing retreat. Please note our home is raised and has two large staircases to enter the property. Our lovely home is situated in a peaceful location. This welcoming getaway features three comfortable bedrooms, a well-appointed bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen for all your culinary endeavours. Step outside onto the spacious deck where you can bask in the sunshine, dine at the outdoor BBQ area, or simply relax with your family and friends. Chill out in the comfortable sleeping areas after a day of adventure. Choose from a variety of pillows to suit your sleeping preferences. Stay warm by the fireplace on cool evenings, or gather outside around the fire pit and toast marshmallows. Visit the general store for Allpress coffee and treats. Walk down to the Tumbulgum Tavern to enjoy some drinks and a meal. The tavern is very kid-friendly! Plus, take advantage of the convenient parking on the driveway and underneath the house for cars, boats, caravans, jet skis, and trailers. Your vehicles and watercraft will have plenty of space to park safely and securely during your stay. Our guests love spending time cruising on the river, fishing and wakeboarding. There is a public wharf and boat ramp. Only 17 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport, 15 minutes to the Tweed Coasts stunning beaches and 35 minutes to Byron Bay. Everything was absolutely perfect! Camilla is such a great host. The house is stunning, it has everything you need provided. The area is beautiful and the locals are so friendly.
Camilla and Tom's place is a little slice of heaven. Just far enough away from the hustle bustle of the busy coast but close enough to enjoy a night out at a restaurant or pickup a pizza nearby. There was so much to do - from playing in the pool, BBQ, eating seafood, chilling with the many books, having a relaxing luxurious bath to exploring the river and coastline. Tumbulgum is a beautiful little town on the river. The tavern, restaurant and general store are all a short walk from the house. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. We were amazed by all the thoughtful touches and artwork. We felt very spoilt. I can't recommend this place enough and we can't wait to come back. Thank you Camilla and Tom and family for having us
Where to start!? 🤔 well, The Tumby House is incredible. First impression… WOW!!! 🤩 what a GEM FIND! The inside of the house is ❤️❤️❤️ we just love it! Everything about the place, and every day we keep saying “It is so relaxing in here, and the furnishing and all of the house is just amazing!” And love how they have proper coffee machine, we’re so spoilt! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT ALL. Our host Camilla is so friendly and very accomodating, we even get to know her a bit during our exchanges of conversation. She put a lot of time, effort and love into doing the airbnb and we felt it. We definitely recommend this place to anyone! Staying 3nights was not enough, we didn’t want to leave 😅 We felt so relaxed and the locals are so friendly and helpful. We are definitely booking her place again for future trips and spread the word how amazing and feel At home staying at the Tumby House. Thank You CaMilla and ToM for hosting us. Everything was perfect & Camilla was a great host that was available. Great family stay and we enjoyed the pool. Convenient spot to check out lots of cool places in the Northern Rivers.
