One big private 4-season cottage-detached-home with a private sandy beach! A home away from home! 80 feet waterfront! One of the best beach properties on Nipissing Beach of Lake Nipissing! World famous sunsets! A family getaway from a busy city-life like Toronto or A romantic lovers-getaway! Lake Nipissing is renown for its excellent ice fishing! Trails nearby. About 15 mins from Callander downtown and about 30 mins from North Bay, about 3 hours from Greater Toronto Area. This is an independent detached cottage with 80 feet of sandy beach front. You can easily park 3-4 cars. The cottage has three bed rooms. The main floor has a bed room, living room with a wood-burning fireplace, kitchen, dining room, a sitting room overlooking the beautiful beach and lake Nipissing, and another sitting room overlooking the front of the house. The lower floor has two bed rooms, laundry room, a sauna room (electric). The bed room on the main floor has a king bed (there is an additional queen mattress with all the linen). One of the rooms on the lower level has a Queen Bed while the other one has a Double bed. There is also a sofa cum bed in the basement in the open area. If you are interested in ice-fishing, then depending upon your skill you can tap different resources regarding the best time of the season and the equipment or licensing requirements. Lake Nipissing is renown for ice-fishing. You can bring your ice hut to be mounted in the lake or you can rent one! Make it your once in a lifetime experience! You can enjoy the fire pit placed at the property. It can be used at the front of the house, or beyond the deck in the back yard or any other safe spot. After usage, please place it back at it's original spot. Also, please be aware if the city has any warnings regarding usage of fire pits, although this is not too common. We try out best to keep the drive way and front-deck clear of snow, however, please use caution everywhere, including on the driveway, beach or elsewhere. For convenience there is a shovel and salt right at the entrance to the cottage. As we are about 15 mins from Callander and about 30 mins from North Bay, our year-round cottage provides access to entertainment, including the new casino, local golf courses, snowmobile trails, dining, and all amenities the area boasts. On clear mornings and nights, the views from the shoreline are breathtaking. We have Muskoka chairs on the beach. These are stored during the winter though. We are located only 10 mins from Hunter's Bay Marina. The website link is in our guidebook. We are about 30 mins from Education Center cross country skiing and fat biking managed by Nipissing University and Canadore College The property is heated by: 1. Propane: This heater is located in the basement; please don't change the setting or it could shut down. 2. Electric: Three electric heaters are located in the dining room area; One in bed room; one in the sitting room next to the bed room. 3. Wood burning fireplace: This is my favorite spot in the house. Enjoy watching TV or looking at the beach while this fire place keeps the house well heated. You however, have to have basic skills of lighting up a wood fire place. 4. Electric heater: For your convenience we have also provided an electric heater. Please do make sure that too many electric gadgets are not running at the same time as this could trip the fuse. Should this happen, you should disconnect the heater or other equipment and turn the fuse back on, and then continue to use the heater. The electric panel (fuse box) is located in the laundry room (lower level). This is a beautiful, shallow, family-friendly sandy beach with a shallow entry into the beach that extends over 100 feet! A real paradise! .
