Up a big step, this single-storey cottage’s dedicated entrance leads you into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The fully equipped kitchen is in one corner of the room, while your table for two awaits for more formal indoor dining. The cosy lounge area has sofa seating in front of an open fire, which adds to the traditional feel alongside the exposed stonework and blackened timbers. The cosy king-size bedroom is off the lounge with its spacious en-suite bathroom. There’s an allocated area outside with a BBQ, table and chairs but the complex is set in 7 acres of scenic grounds that you can explore, with a dog exercise field and warm shower for delicate hounds. Take advantage of the seasonal pool, hot tub and sauna on the complex or walk in the woodlands or wildflower meadows. Join the South West Coast Path to head along the coast in either direction. From Polruan, hop aboard the passenger ferry for a scenic and stress-free way to visit perennial favourite Fowey, a quintessential Cornish fishing town.
