Escape to this Grade II-listed home in Arundel for a relaxing break exploring coast and countryside. There’s a doggie-friendly pub within 300m of your front door as well as independent shops and galleries to discover. With space for four humans and one canine friend, this cottage would suit a couple or a small family looking to enjoy some quality time together with their pet very much part of the fun. This period building boasts a gorgeous facade of brick and pebble, and mullion sash windows completing its traditional look. You’ll enter the property straight into an open-plan living area with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and a wood burner for keeping you warm on chilly nights. There’s a table and chairs for relaxed holiday meals and a door leading out to the garden. Outside, your pet can roam free in the enclosed space while you admire impressive views of Arundel Cathedral. On sunny days, enjoy a leisurely lunch on the patio furniture as your dog finds a shady spot for a snooze. The two cosy bedrooms are accessed via a staircase from the living room; both are beautifully decorated with lovely ceiling beams and tasteful furniture. Perched on the edge of the South Downs National Park, Arundel gives you excellent access to doggie-pleasing walks over rolling hills and alongside the fast-flowing Arun River. Head north to Amberley (5 miles), a village famous for its thatched cottages, or climb up to Bignor Hill (5 miles) for a more challenging walk that’ll reward you with fantastic views. If the dog’s hounding you for a beach trip, Climping (3 miles) is a great option for letting off some steam. We would therefore advise that parking outside the cottage is only suitable for a standard sized car, there is additional parking in the surrounding streets.
