Harbor Ket Cottage is beautiful place to stay in Malindi. Central and very peaceful with flowers and two pools and 2 min walk to beach with private lounge chairs and security. Daily housekeeping is a plus and she also washes clothes for a small fee. We hired a chef some days and was very good to eat at home with a personalized menu. Can also order good lunch from local store Nivas. Tuk tuks available outside gate. For local guide and all day car service, call Kassim. The only disappointment was no AC which is essential since it is very hot. Recommended portable ac units with surcharge. Do have fans but you are circulating hot air. Marikposa and Baby Marrow are nearby and good choices to eat. Do hire a car and see Wattamau and Mombassa. Consider doing all your safari and Nairobi exploring and wind down in Malindi. So much need for assistance needed so don’t get overwhelmed but pick small projects or few people to help. Overall a great place and had a great time

Had the pleasure of staying in villa for a few days. First impression is that the photos don’t do the place justice as it look much better than the photos. The property is pristine with a large patio outside where we had all our meals at and is well furnished with fans in all rooms to beat the heat. The compound has 2 large pools, it’s a beach front property so we alternated between using the pool and the beach. The villa is located in close proximity to a lot of restaurants, supermarkets and the Vascodagama Pilla. There is also public transport in the form of tuk-tuks and bikes right outside the gate for easy movement around the area. Special thanks to Selina the housekeeper who took care of us, and the cook Samson who made us delicious meals. I would definitely recommend the place.
