The closest hiking spots are Buck's and Lapham Ledges which are three pleasant trails that lead to ledges with views of the surrounding foothills, lakes, and ponds. The trails can be combined into a loop for a longer hike. After an adrenaline-fueled day, relax by the wood stove absorbing views of the mountain and the tranquil Lake.

Our parking area accommodates three vehicles for convenient parallel parking closest to the train tracks. Please leave the next row, nearer to the house, for the neighboring house to ensure smooth parking for both households.
Driving around to explore the beauty of the area is enjoyable. Nearby, The Local Hub offers coffee, baked goods, sandwiches, and some groceries. Head into Bethel to stock up on groceries at Mainely Provisions or the Good Food Store. Our favorite local restaurants include Le Mu Eats, Butcher Burger, Suds Pub, Cho Sun, Roosters Roadhouse, or The Bethel Inn. And don't forget to catch a show at our beloved historic independent movie theater, the Gem Theater where you can enjoy the latest films and special live performances.
