Enjoy a cocktail while you play pool, foosball, ping pong, and giant connect 4. Feel refreshed after a comfortable nights sleep in one of 6 bedrooms each with queen sized bed. This spacious and airy lake home located only 90mins from Toronto is perfect for your winter or summer getaway. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and stunning sunsets from our private sprawling lakefront grassed yard, or cozied up inside lounging in front of a large picturesque window. Large lakeside concrete patio with sitting area, fire pit and staircase down into Lake Ontario. Shoreline mostly small pebbles for first 10 feet or so, after full sand. Water depth gradually deepens. Very private quiet location yet close to town. Come home to relax after treating yourself to a day spa at Ste Annes Spa, or exploring the many wineries of Prince Edward County, miles of Snowmobile trails, beaches of Sandbanks Provincial Park, or hiking in Presqu’ile Provincial Park and Northumberland Forest.

This place is truly stunning. The pictures don’t actually do it justice. It’s spacious and beautifully appointed and comfortable and perfectly designed for a group to be able to cook and eat and hang out and relax. Robyn was incredibly helpful and responsive and clearly takes exceptionally good care of this home. We hope to be back.

There is a Market at the top of our street (4mins) on Hwy 2 called Rutherfords. Products from local farms; fruits, veggies, eggs, butter, ice cream, cookies and pies. (Unfortunately they close in Winter December 25th until Easter)
Colborne (6 mins, our local town) has a Pharmacy, Gas Station, Hardware Store, CIBC Bank, Restaurants and an LCBO. The stores are fairly small and selection can be limited
If you are looking for something specific you can go to Brighton (13 mins East on Hwy 2) it has a Sobeys, No Frills, Pet Valu and a bigger LCBO & BeerStore
Large big box grocery and hardware stores are in Cobourg (22mins West), Port Hope (30mins West), Trenton (27mins East), Belleville (40mins East), or Kingston (1hour 20mins East)
Ste Anne’s Spa is in Grafton (20mins NW), Prince Edward Country Wineries (40mins East), Sandbanks Provincial Park Beach (1hour East), Northumberland Forest Hiking (28mins NW), Snowmobile trails (20mins East)
We have a large driveway and free parking on site. Guests can take the Go Train from Toronto to Oshawa (58mins) station, or the Via Rail to Cobourg (26mins) or Trenton (27mins) stations. They would have to arrange pickup from a friend or Cab/Uber/Lyft from there to our house. There is no local Cabs, Uber/Lyft or transit in Colborne. Prince Edward County has various companies that can arrange winery tours with pickup and drop off if desired.
