Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Manuel, qui était un hôte exceptionnellement gentil et attentionné à notre égard. L'appartement était impeccable et très fonctionnel. Manuel n'a pas hésité à nous ramener à l'aéroport. Muito obrigada Manuel :)

Perfect! Manuel is a magnificent host, very welcoming and polite. He picked us up at the airport (small fee) and dropped us off at the port on our last day. The accommodation is super big and very clean. It’s like a small house for yourself and Manuel and his family live in the other part of the house. The kitchen has everything you need. There’s a big living / dining room, 3 bedrooms (2 big ones, 1 smaller one), 2 bathrooms. Washing machine included, iron, place to hang your wet clothes, hot shower water. Just a few minutes walking to the city center or the beach with several cafes and restaurants nearby. 100% recommendations! Thank you for everything Manuel.

First of all Manuel. He is such a nice and helpful person. I could always appeal to him. He drove me around and picked me up if I asked him for it. Manuel is the best host I ever had. The house is great. It’s very big and very clean with everything you need in it. It’s situated in a nice and quiet neighbourhoud, from which you can easily walk to all the places you want to visit.

Great value. Paid total of €53 for two guests for one night in March 2024. Apartment was comfortable and spotless. Short walk to centre (10 min) and to beach (15 min). (Uphill on the way back) Streets seemed safe, even after dark. Official check-in is at 3pm, but our boat from Santo Antão arrived at noon, and Manual said we could check in early at 2pm and even leave our bags immediately (12:20pm) while the apartment was being cleaned. He also left two complimentary 1.5-litre bottles of water for us. He drove us to the airport the next day at 1pm for 1000 escudos (a bit less than €10). Mindelo is a great city to relax in. We had already spent another night there on the way to Santo Antão. The city is much nicer than Praia, on the island of Santiago. On that island, the beautiful place to stay is Tarrafel.
