Amazing property and very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The owner Phil came to visit us personally soon after we arrived to check in and see if we needed anything else. The surroundings are beautiful and it is an ideal location for exploring Dorset. Would highly recommend.
We were utterly blown away by the location, the house and the host. The house was a perfect space for 10 people, from 10-70, even the teenagers stayed off their phones and enjoyed every area of the house from the snug to the high vaulted living area. The kitchen had everything we needed, the table tennis was a winner and the log burner hot tub was the cherry on the cake. We quickly got to grips with the log fire and after we came in from a walk, lit the burner, made food or played in the garden then we get in the tub and enjoyed the fabulous vista or the starry nights sky. The host had thought of everything and was so approachable and friendly, nipping out to get some extra lights when we asked. The house was a real treat, it was a touch of luxury with a homey feel. We went to bed late and got up early just so we could sit, read, and play games with the amazing view. No one wanted to leave i have not felt that relaxed in ages, i feel like i have gone to a spa. Small family break in a lovely location. Close to Weymouth and other areas when we needed to pop out for something, but very peaceful and enjoying the peace and quiet in an amazing home I wish I could live in
Beautiful house. Very spacious. If you are heading there in colder months wrap up as it’s not a warm house. Very high ceilings and lots of windows in the main living area. Small amount of wood left for wood burner and wood fired hot tub but we had to buy many bags of additional logs to get us through the 2 days. Its was quite inconvenient that the hot tub wasn’t electric as took 4.5 hours to heat and had to keep checking it every 20 mins to check it was still lit and if it needed more logs. However when we finally got in the tub on the second night the clear sky full of stars made it all worth it.
The house was beautiful, with plenty of space for the whole family. The bedrooms are spread out so you feel you have privacy, and the main living area is perfect for being together. Unfortunately the weather was not great so we couldn’t use the garden for playing, but we did manage to make use of the hot tub! Due to its elevated position, there are wonderful views, and it’s a fantastic place for stargazing. The size of the house is even better than shown in the photos. We we very happy with our stay here and would definitely recommend 🙂
